I'm Jorge Mateo
I've spent more than 10 years walking alongside dogs: training, supporting families and collaborating with shelters to improve the lives of those still waiting for a home.
For me, a dog is never "just a dog". They are another member of the family — a being who feels, remembers, gets emotional, and who deserves to be listened to with the same tenderness we give those we love. Treating them as family isn't a slogan: it's the foundation of everything I do.
My work draws on the knowledge I gained over more than 10 years through different dog training courses and, above all, through observation. Once you've learned the theory, it's worth nothing if you don't "get your hands on the fur". Other companies offer online solutions; I'm sorry, but I don't believe in that: you have to observe a dog, see what happens where it happens, and videos won't do, nor will words in an email. That's why I work in your area, from your home to your park and your routines, because change happens there, in real life, not on a screen.
I'm not after obedience for obedience's sake. I want your dog to live calmly, for you to understand what they're feeling, and for the bond between you to become a safe place to come back to, always.

More than a decade alongside dogs
Over these years I've been lucky to train with leading figures in force-free dog education in Spain and Europe. I've moved from curiosity to full dedication, always with the same question in mind: how can we better understand those who cannot speak?
I've worked with hundreds of families, each with their own story, pace and unique dog. I've learned that no two cases are the same and that genuine patience is the most powerful resource we have.
What I believe in
- A secure bond is the foundation of any learning.
- A dog's emotions matter as much as their behaviour.
- Supporting is more useful than correcting.
- Every dog is an individual, not a "breed" or a "label".

With shelters
An important part of my work is collaborating with shelters. Dogs that arrive at a shelter have gone through tough situations, and their emotional recovery is as important as finding them a home.
I help volunteers read dogs' body language, build routines that create calm, and prepare each animal so their transition to a family is as smooth as possible.
I also help in evaluating potential adopters so that the match is real, considering the dog's wellbeing and the family's honest expectations.
