The mistake of overexposure
Taking a puppy to greet every person and every dog on the street generates:
- Chronic over-excitement.
- Frustration when they cannot approach.
- Reactivity from excess social expectation.
How to do it right
- Calm exposure, at a distance.
- Chosen encounters, not random ones.
- Enough rest between new experiences.
A puppy that observes the world from calm learns more than one that goes through it saturated.
